Major fire hits Chattogram EPZ factory

A fire broke out at Al Hamid Textile Factory in the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) area of Chattogram on Thursday, around 2 PM.

According to fire service sources, upon receiving the alert, four fire service units quickly responded and are currently working to control the blaze.

Alamgir Hossain, Deputy Director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence, told Banglanews24.com that they received reports of the fire around 1:45 PM.

Fifteen units of the Fire Service are currently working to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire and whether there are any casualties have not yet been confirmed.
