A Quran Khotam (recitation of the entire Quran) and special prayer was held in Fatullah, Narayanganj, with over a hundred Huffaz (memorizers of the Quran), wishing for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
On Tuesday (December 9), the Quran Khotam and prayer ceremony was organized by freedom fighter Mohammad Ali, former Member of Parliament for Narayanganj-4 constituency, at the Jami’a Madania Qasemul Ulum Madrasa field in the Kashipur area of Fatullah, involving orphans and Madrasa students.
Before the prayer, former MP and freedom fighter Mohammad Ali requested everyone to pray to Almighty Allah for the speedy recovery and long, pious life of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
During the prayer, the Huffaz implored Almighty Allah for the quick recovery of the country’s former Prime Minister and for her to be able to serve the public once again.
In the prayer, they said, “In this critical juncture for the nation, do not take away this universally recognized former Prime Minister from us.”
Additionally, special prayers were offered for the salvation of the soul (ruher maghfirat) of the martyred President Ziaur Rahman and the soul of Khaleda Zia’s youngest son, the late Arafat Rahman Koko.
Furthermore, prayers were offered for the good health and overall welfare of the Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Tarique Rahman.
Also present at the time were Abdul Halim, Abu Hossain Sayeed, Freedom Fighter Md. Nur Alam Mia (Member Secretary of Narayanganj District Muktijoddha Sangsad), Freedom Fighter Nur Hossain Molla, S. Alam Rajib (Member of BNP’s Mass Uprising 2024 Documentation Sub-Committee), Habibur Rahman Liton, Nazir Sikdar, S. Alam Israt (former President of Narayanganj District Nationalist Liberation War Generation Team), Abu Taher Azad, Aktaruzzaman, Monowar Khan Rajib, Tofazzal Hossain Tapu, Adnan Aziz Pranto, Sarjil Ahmed Ovi, Lian Mahmud Akash, among others.
