The political map in Faridpur is changing fast. The BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami are now working hard across the district’s four seats. This happens because the ruling Awami League is largely out of sight. Its local work faces major limits.
Local experts say a “new game” is starting. This new situation lets the opposition, which was long quiet, gain support quickly. They are actively getting ready for future elections.
Four-Seat Focus: The parties are pushing hard in all four Faridpur seats. The main ruling party’s absence created a huge gap. The opposition now quickly fills this space.
BNP’s Local Issues: BNP candidates still face problems. For instance, fights within the party (“অন্তর্কোন্দল”) trouble the many people hoping for nomination. Yet, up to 18 possible candidates work in the four seats.
Jamaat Works Hard: Jamaat-e-Islami also runs its own active programs. They chose four main candidates for the four seats. But, local fights happen; BNP members reportedly stopped a Jamaat event in Saltha. This shows a tricky alliance on the ground.
Political Gap: Most importantly, the limits placed on the Awami League’s work cause this sudden rise. This silence lets the other major political force lead the region’s current scene.
The strong, joint activity by the BNP and Jamaat shows a clear plan. They aim to be seen and heard across Faridpur before the next elections.
