Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President and retired Colonel Oli Ahmad has commented that Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser of the interim government, might have to flee like former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said, “Dr. Yunus will possibly have to escape like Hasina. I am predicting this because nothing is under his control. Civil administration, armed forces, and the police are not under control at all.”
He made these remarks in an interview with an online portal.
Colonel Oli stated that killings are happening everywhere, and anyone can block roads and sit down as they please, making demands and collecting dues. The country has become lawless. There is turmoil in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, and the number of refugees is increasing daily.
“Running the country with mere words and laughter will not work. Problems must be resolved strictly. We have to work to reach specific goals for the country. He (Dr. Yunus) cannot do that because he has taken over all NGOs and DGOs—these organizations. There are very few people with ministry management experience or former MPs beside him,” he said.
In response to a question about the participation of the Awami League and Jatiya Party in the elections, the LDP president said, “We have clearly stated that those who have plundered the country’s resources or helped in plundering, and those who worked as agents for the Indian government, have no right to do politics in Bangladesh. They are murderers and bloodsuckers of the people. Bloodsuckers will not be allowed to do politics in Bangladesh.”
He further said that many banks are closing today, and many innocent bank employees are losing their jobs. “Is anyone thinking about where these families will stand? The government’s responsibility is to provide employment and jobs to new people, but we are forcing them out. The Ministry of Finance is playing the role of a silent spectator. The chief adviser walks around smiling, unaware that people are begging on the streets. He only talks about international matters but is ignorant of what is happening to his own nation.”
