The Foreign Affairs Advisor, Md. Touhid Hossain, has stated that the government will take necessary measures if someone decides to send BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia abroad for medical treatment.
He made this announcement while addressing journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (December 2).
Touhid Hossain said, “The government will take the necessary steps to send Begum Khaleda Zia abroad if her party or family makes that decision.”
Regarding BNP’s Acting Chairman, the Advisor mentioned that Tarique Rahman has not yet requested a travel pass to return to the country. “Tarique Rahman has not requested a travel pass yet. If he asks for one, a travel pass will be issued,” he stated.
The Foreign Affairs Advisor also informed that the government has not received any formal communication regarding his return to Dhaka.
