Goats were distributed to various orphanages in Bagerhat as a “Zaner Sadka” (alms/charity for life and well-being) and praying for the recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

On Tuesday (December 2) at noon, M. A. Salam, former President of the District BNP, donated 11 castrated goats (khasi) to the orphanage adjacent to Khan Jahan Ali (R.) Mazar.
Various leaders of the District BNP were present at the time. A special prayer (dua) was later held at the orphanage for Begum Zia’s health.
Dua Mahfil and Discussion Held
Meanwhile, the District Juba Dal (Youth Wing) organized a Dua Mahfil (prayer gathering) and discussion meeting at the city’s Shadhinata Uddyan (Independence Park) for Khaleda Zia’s quick recovery.
Attendees at the Dua Mahfil included former District BNP President M. A. Salam, former District Juba Dal General Secretary Sujan Molla, and various activists from the party’s affiliated organizations.
Following the discussion, Golam Rasul Tarafder Newaz, former District Chhatra Dal (Student Wing) Vice-President, led a special prayer and munajat (supplication) for Begum Zia’s health.
Separately, District Chhatra Dal leader Atiqur Rahman Russel organized a prayer gathering at the same location for Begum Zia’s recovery.
Leader’s Comments
Former District BNP President M. A. Salam stated, “We are praying for our mother [Begum Zia’s] recovery in every mosque. She will get well with the prayers of the people of the country. We hope she lives to see the execution (hanging) of fascist Sheikh Hasina.”
