National Democratic Front Announces Candidates for 119 Seats

The newly formed political alliance, the National Democratic Front (NDF)—led by factions of the Jatiya Party and the Jatiya Party (JP)—has announced its candidates for 131 positions across 119 parliamentary constituencies for the upcoming national election. The announcement was made by the alliance’s Executive Chairman, Mujibul Haque Chunnu, at a press conference in Dhaka on Tuesday (December 23).

The alliance, which includes 18 political parties, features prominent leaders such as Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud (Chattogram-5), Anwar Hossain Manju (Pirojpur-2), and ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader (Patuakhali-1). Other notable candidates include Kazi Firoz Rashid (Dhaka-10) and Golam Sarwar Milan (Manikganj-2). The front has fielded multiple candidates in some seats to ensure a strong presence in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
