Popular actress Azmeri Haque Badhon has announced that she is currently in a relationship and will make it public very soon. Although she faced numerous questions about marriage after her separation, she has not tied the knot with anyone since. However, she revealed that she was in a four-year relationship that ended early last year.
That breakup, coupled with the overall political situation in the country during the mass uprising in July of the same year, left Badhon mentally distressed. Recalling that time, the actress told the media, “It was a different kind of life—combining the July mass uprising, the overall country situation, and my breakup.”
Badhon divorced Mashrur Siddiqui Sonet almost 11 years ago. They have one daughter together. She currently lives with her daughter and her parents in Mirpur, Dhaka. She stated that her family members do not pressure her about remarrying. Though she was initially traumatized by the idea of marriage, Badhon says she is now enjoying a beautiful phase of her life.
She confirmed that she is once again “enjoying love,” meaning she is in a new relationship, which she plans to disclose very soon.
The actress said, “I am currently having the most beautiful time of my life. I am enjoying a beautiful time with my work, life, and my child. My relationship with my parents, and my relationship with my brothers—it is all very beautiful.”
She added, “I am enjoying it immensely. Love is beautiful. I want to be in a relationship. I have just fallen in love, and now I need to nurture this relationship. I will make the matter of my relationship public very soon.”
