Tarique Rahman to Register as Voter on December 27 After Returning Home

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to complete his voter registration and National Identity Card (NID) formalities on December 27, just two days after his planned return to Bangladesh. The announcement was made by BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed on Monday (December 22) following a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin.

Tarique Rahman is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Thursday, December 25. Since the following day is Friday (a public holiday), the registration process will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, when Election Commission offices remain open during the election period. As he is set to contest the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, obtaining his NID and being listed as a voter is a crucial legal requirement.
