President Shahabuddin Chuppu's Facebook Hacked; Post Demanding 'Resignation' Appears

President Mohammed Shahabuddin Chuppu’s verified Facebook account has been hacked. He announced the incident in a post from his own ID today, Tuesday (December 2) at 7:30 PM.

In his post, he wrote, “My Facebook ID has been hacked. This is being announced for everyone’s information.”

Just one minute earlier, at 7:29 PM, a status was posted from his verified Facebook ID. It contained the hashtag: #Resignation.

Background on the President’s Tenure

President Mohammed Shahabuddin Chuppu took the oath as the 22nd President of Bangladesh on April 24, 2023. He remains in office, even after Sheikh Hasina’s departure to India on August 5, 2024.

His position has faced continuous speculation and criticism within the political arena. Student organizations, in particular, have demanded his removal. However, the interim government has not taken any action against him.
