Today is the wedding of CUCSU leader Sanjida and DUCSU GS Farhad

The wedding of SM Farhad, the General Secretary (GS) of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), is being held today, Wednesday (December 24). His Akd (marriage contract ceremony) will be completed at the Katabon Mosque in the capital.

It has been learned that SM Farhad’s life partner is Jannatul Ferdous Sanjida. She is a leader of the Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU).

According to various sources, the bride Sanjida hails from Feni district. In her personal life, she is relatively media-shy, though her active role in student politics has been highlighted.

On Tuesday (December 23) around 8:45 PM, DUCSU Executive Member Raihan Uddin announced in a Facebook post: “DUCSU GS SM Farhad is getting married tomorrow, Insha’Allah.” He asked for prayers and well-wishes for them, hoping for a happy married life.

In addition to his responsibilities at DUCSU, SM Farhad serves as the President of the Dhaka University branch of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir. Farhad was a student of the 2017-18 session at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research, Dhaka University.
