Swara Bhaskar: “I felt almost half-naked”

Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar has shared her discomfort about the costume used in a song sequence from her popular movie, Veere Di Wedding. She was required to wear a swimsuit for the shoot. However, the actress felt “almost half-naked” in the outfit. Feeling helpless, she chose a unique way to cover her embarrassment.

Swara Bhaskar recently shared this experience in a media interview. She played a glamorous role in the 2018 blockbuster film’s song, ‘Tareefan.’ The actress stated that she felt intense discomfort wearing such an outfit for the character.

Towel Used to Cover Up on Set
The actress described her thought process during the filming. “I had to maintain a glamorous look throughout the film, Veere Di Wedding,” she said. “I was constantly worried about losing weight.”

She explained the severity of the costume issue. “The swimsuit I wore in this movie was so small that I felt almost half-naked,” she explained. “I couldn’t even go to the set. So, I wrapped a towel around myself.”

According to the actress, she would wrap a towel around her body after makeup. She wore the towel from the vanity van all the way to the shooting set.

Co-stars Had No Objections
In the same song, Swara’s co-stars, Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, were also seen wearing similar attire. However, the report noted that they did not raise any objection regarding the costumes.
