The price of gold in the domestic market has dropped by up to BDT 5,519 per Bhori. As a result, the price of one Bhori of the best quality gold (22-carat) in the country will now be BDT 208,272. This new gold price will be effective nationwide starting tomorrow, Sunday.
The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) announced the reduction in gold prices via a press release late Saturday night.
The release stated that the price of acidic gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. Therefore, BAJUS decided to adjust the gold price accordingly.
According to the new prices:

However, while the price of gold has decreased, the price of silver remains unchanged.
