Khaleda Zia made member of Fulgazi upazila BNP committee

Former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been appointed as a member of the Fulgazi upazila BNP committee in her ancestral region, Feni district. Khaleda, who has been elected several times as MP from the Feni-1 constituency (Fulgazi upazila), now holds the top position in the full committee for Fulgazi Sadar union.

On Thursday night, BNP announced full committees for six unions under Fulgazi upazila, each consisting of a 10-member advisory council and a 71-member executive committee. Monir Ahmad was named president and Md Yasin Mahmud Mozumder general secretary for the Sadar union committee.

Upazila BNP convenor Fakhrul Alam Swapon and member secretary Abul Hossain Bhuiyan endorsed the committees. Fakhrul emphasized that the formation of these committees will strengthen BNP’s presence at the grassroots level. With the national election approaching, party leaders and activists will work together unitedly. Khaleda is expected to contest the next election from this seat.
