Visa Services Suspended at Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi

Visa operations at the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi have been temporarily suspended due to security reasons. The information was confirmed in a notice issued by the High Commission on Monday (December 22).

The notice, displayed in front of the mission in Delhi, expressed regret for the sudden suspension of services. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the Bangladesh Visa Center in Siliguri has also been temporarily closed.

Earlier on Saturday (December 20) and Sunday (December 21), a group of 20-25 supporters of an extremist organization staged protests in front of the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi. During the demonstrations, they threatened the Bangladesh High Commissioner and issued ultimatums for Bangladeshis to leave India.
