DHAKA – The namaz-e-janaza of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, a prominent figure of the July Uprising and spokesperson for the Inqilab Moncho, will be held tomorrow, Thursday, at 2:00 PM at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban.

Security Protocols & Public Advisory
The Chief Adviser’s Press Wing issued a statement on Friday evening confirming the schedule. For security reasons, the government has requested that those attending the funeral prayer refrain from carrying bags or heavy objects.
Additionally, a strict ban on flying drones in and around the Sangsad Bhaban area has been imposed for the duration of the event.
Background and Repatriation
The body of Sharif Osman Hadi arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 5:48 PM on Friday via Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG 585.
Hadi passed away on Thursday night while undergoing advanced medical treatment in Singapore. He was a fearless frontline fighter during the July Uprising and was also an aspiring independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency.
Timeline of the Incident
December 12: Hadi was shot while traveling in a battery-run auto-rickshaw in the city’s Paltan area.
December 15: Due to the severity of his injuries, he was airlifted to Singapore via air ambulance for specialized care.
