Osman Hadi’s janaza: Traffic movement on Manik Mia Avenue to be limited

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued a special traffic advisory as the namaz-e-janaza of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, convener of Inqilab Moncho, is scheduled for today, Saturday, at 2:00 PM at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

To ensure a smooth ceremony, vehicular movement on Manik Mia Avenue and surrounding areas will be restricted, with traffic stopped from Khejur Bagan Crossing to Manik Mia Avenue.

DMP Traffic Diversion Plan
From Mirpur Road to Farmgate: Vehicles will be diverted at Ganabhaban Crossing to proceed via Lake Road, Airplane Crossing, and Bijoy Sarani.

From Farmgate to Manik Mia Avenue: Vehicles from Indira Road will be rerouted from Khejur Bagan Crossing to Airplane Crossing, then left onto Lake Road toward Ganabhaban.

From Dhanmondi/Asad Gate to Farmgate: Traffic will be directed to make a U-turn at Ganabhaban Crossing and follow the Lake Road–Bijoy Sarani route.

Elevated Expressway Users: Drivers are strongly advised not to use the Farmgate exit ramp. Instead, please use the FDC (Hatirjheel) exit ramp to avoid congestion.

Security Measures & Public Request
Authorities have requested that all attendees and city residents strictly follow these instructions until the burial process is complete. For security reasons, those participating in the janaza are requested not to carry any bags or heavy objects.
