Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed hope that political parties will soon sign the “July Charter,” committing to bring about significant reforms in the country’s political and constitutional systems.

The Nobel Laureate conveyed this optimism during discussions with Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the 80th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Professor Yunus informed Shehbaz Sharif that the state reforms enshrined in the July Charter aim to prevent the emergence of another fascist regime in Bangladesh, according to the Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Majumder.
