Zubaida Rahman Arrives at Evercare Hospital

Dr. Zubaida Rahman has returned to Evercare Hospital to visit her mother-in-law, Khaleda Zia. She arrived at the hospital at 11:30 AM today, Sunday (December 7). Dr. Rahman spent the previous night at her mother’s home in Dhanmondi.

BNP Media Cell member Atiqur Rahman Rumen confirmed the news.

Rumen stated that Dr. Zubaida Rahman arrived in Dhaka from London last Friday. She went straight to the hospital to see her mother-in-law. Since then, she has been moving between the hospital and her family home. She stayed at the family residence, Mahbub Bhaban in Dhanmondi, overnight. However, she maintained constant contact with the CCU doctors. She returned to the hospital Sunday morning.

Medical Board and Air Ambulance Preparation
Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital since November 23 due to a serious illness. An expert medical board is overseeing her care. Professor Shahabuddin Talukdar leads the board. Dr. Zubaida Rahman is also a key member of this medical team.

Meanwhile, BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Enamul Haque Chowdhury spoke to the media on Saturday. He announced that a Royal Air Ambulance from Qatar is prepared to come to Dhaka. It will arrive as soon as the medical board gives its final approval for Begum Zia to travel abroad.
