Ideal Marriage Bureau Founder Mufti Qasemi Arrested in Wife’s Oppression Case

DHAKA, November 23 — Police have arrested Mufti Mamunur Rashid Qasemi. He is the founder of the marriage platform Ideal Marriage Bureau.
He was arrested because of a case filed by his wife. The case is under the law for preventing oppression against women and children.

Police arrested Mufti Qasemi on Sunday (November 23) around 3:00 pm. The arrest happened at his home in the Ati Bazar area of Keraniganj, Dhaka.

Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police Tarikul Islam confirmed the news.

Case Filed: Qasemi’s wife filed the case last Friday at the Keraniganj Police Station.
