Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin has emphasized the need for special preparations for the upcoming national election, citing the unique circumstances surrounding it.

Speaking at the Election Officials Conference 2025 held at the Bangladesh Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka, he urged election officers not to act on behalf of any political party. He assured that no illegal directives would come from the Commission.
Around 800 election officials from upazila, district, and regional levels participated in the event. Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Mohammad Sanaullah described this 13th National Election as the most challenging yet, given past electoral system failures, and stressed the importance of adhering to international standards. Commissioners warned against any bias, insisting that responsible officials would be held accountable for their actions.
Election Commissioner Anwarul Islam Sarkar said the Commission has demonstrated firmness within just over ten months. Commissioner Rahmanel Mashud framed the free and fair election as a sacred duty, stressing accountability in both this life and beyond.
Officials pledged full cooperation to restore public trust in voting and presented demands to the Commission for strengthening the election process.
