July Martyrs Honoured with Wreaths, Discussion and Reception in Kishoreganj

Rezaul Haque, KISHOREGANJ : Aug. 5 — July Uprising Day 2026 was observed with due solemnity and respect in Kishoreganj on Wednesday under the theme, “Building the Nation with the Spirit of July, Bangladesh First.”

The day’s programme began at 9:00 am with the laying of wreaths at the July Martyrs Memorial on the premises of Gurudayal Government College. On behalf of the Kishoreganj District Council, Administrator Khaled Saifullah Sohel Khan paid tribute to the martyrs. He was accompanied by the council’s Chief Executive Officer, Mostari Kaderi.

Representatives of the district administration, police, government and private organisations, political parties, and socio-cultural organisations also laid wreaths at the memorial in honour of the July martyrs. A special prayer and munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed souls was held following the tribute ceremony.The observance was organised by the district administration.
