‘BD Clean’ and Panchagarh Municipality Launch Door-to-Door Waste Collection Initiativ

With the vision of building a “Modern and Clean Panchagarh,” Panchagarh Municipality and the volunteer organization BD Clean-Panchagarh have jointly launched a door-to-door household waste collection initiative. The official rollout of this program began on Sunday, November 1, 2026.

This public-welfare initiative was undertaken under the directives of Panchagarh Municipality Administrator Sima Sharmin and with the active cooperation of BD Clean-Panchagarh. Officials involved stated that the clean-up service will soon expand across the entire town to ensure effective waste management for all residents.

The program was formally inaugurated on Sunday morning in front of the residence of Advocate Abul Khayer.

Key attendees at the inauguration ceremony included Panchagarh Municipality Assistant Sanitary Inspector Humayun Kabir, BD Clean-Panchagarh District Coordinator Md. Kamruzzaman Kamu, and dedicated volunteers of the organization.

Organizers have urged all town residents to participate in this cleanliness drive and hand over their household garbage through the municipality’s designated collection vans. They expressed optimism that with the spontaneous cooperation of the local community, Panchagarh can be successfully transformed into a completely clean, beautiful, and eco-friendly model city.
