Rooppur Unit-2 Nuclear Fuel Delivery to Begin in October, Rosatom Confirms

The delivery of fresh nuclear fuel for Unit-2 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) is set to commence in October and will continue through December, according to a recent statement by Russia’s state nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom.

The corporation specified that shipments will take place in multiple phases to meet project timelines and contractual obligations. “The delivery of nuclear fuel for Unit 2 of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is scheduled to begin in October 2026 and continue through December 2026, with the supplies to be completed by the end of December,” the official statement read.

Officials confirmed that the fuel shipments will be transported via multiple flights in strict accordance with the established project schedule and agreement terms.
