Online Desk : The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Chattogram has announced a revised schedule for the postponed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, with written exams set to resume on August 20 and continue until September 9.
Chattogram Education Board Examination Controller Prof Parvez Sajjad Chowdhury confirmed the revised routine on Tuesday.
According to the new schedule, English Second Paper will be held on August 20, followed by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on August 22.
Examinations for Physics First Paper, Accounting First Paper and Logic First Paper are scheduled for August 24, while the corresponding second papers will be held on August 27.
Geography First Paper will take place on August 29, followed by Geography Second Paper on August 31.
On September 2, students will sit for Chemistry First Paper, Islamic History, History, Home Management and Family Life, and Production Management and Marketing First Paper. The second papers of these subjects are scheduled for September 5.
The examinations will conclude with Economics First Paper and Engineering Drawing and Workshop Practice First Paper on September 7, followed by their respective second papers on September 9.
The board has also instructed educational institutions to complete practical examinations between August 9 and August 18 and submit practical marks by August 25.
The HSC examinations began on July 2 across Bangladesh’s nine general education boards using a common set of question papers. However, examinations under the Chattogram Board were suspended from July 8 due to adverse weather conditions and flooding.
