Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) continued their upward momentum in morning trade today, marking the third consecutive session of gains.
The benchmark index DSEX rose by 53.27 points, or 0.98 percent, reaching 5,445.92 by 12:06 pm, according to data from DSE. The overall market sentiment remained positive across the board, with the Shariah-compliant DSES index also inching higher, and the blue-chip DS30 index posting gains.
Investor activity was strong, reflected by a turnover of Tk 340.68 crore by midday. Market breadth was positive, with 292 stocks advancing, 49 declining, and 53 remaining unchanged.
In notable movements, Prime Finance & Investment topped the gainers’ list with a 10 percent increase, while CVO Petrochemical Refinery experienced the largest loss of the session, slipping 3.63 percent.
This steady rise reflects continued investor confidence amid favorable trading conditions on the premier bourse.
